So I'm trying to work this out in my head as I write it, trying to see if I can figure out how to explain this gut feeling I have.  It makes sense in my head, I just want to be able to explain why.

FINALLY got a mammogram today.  It's been about 4 years, if not more, since I got my last one in Chicago.  I had been trying off and on to find a source for free mammogram's for low income women in California, but kept getting the run around.  But my Union, SAG-AFTRA, had a wellness fair for women today, and I was able to get an appointment.

I went to a screening tonight of a film I did at the end of last year, which was a test film for a new kind of camera, the Digital Bolex.  They have the trailer for the short up on their website here.  They are doing quite well with the camera, which was great to hear - they did a Kickstarter campaign and raised $262,661!  The latest update is that ( Read more... )

So last night was a blue moon, for the first time in several years.  In fact, the last blue moon was on New Years Eve, 2009.  I had been in California exactly one year that last blue moon.  Somehow, as I was driving to my shoot in the early, early morning, and I saw that beautiful blue moon setting in the west, I felt the timing was perfect.
